UV Resistant Elastomeric Acrylic Waterproof Coating

CEYMCO® ELASTO 599 is single component, UV resistant, unique elastomeric high build exterior waterproofing coating based on a revolutionary acrylic polymer with quick-set capabilities to resist moisture attack. Besides inherent waterproofing properties.

CEYMCO® ELASTO 599 provides durable, flexible, and water resistant and water repellant properties, arising out of unique UV cross-link curing mechanism.

CEYMCO® ELASTO 599 is easy to apply, environmentally safe, non-polluting green product, forms a thick impermeable layer with a high crack bridging property of up to 1 mm.

CEYMCO® ELASTO 599 is available in white base as well as staining could be done for different colour matching. It conforms to ASTM D-6083

Application

  • Exterior waterproofing UV resistant elastomeric coating with 150 – 160 Micron impermeable film.
  • For UV protection layer over Liquid Membrane, you may use CEYMCO® PU CLEAR.

Application Methodology

# Surface Preparation
  • Remove all loose and foreign materials, if any, by a wash with a jet of air / water.
  • Repair structural defects before application of CEYMCO® ELASTO 599.
  • Fill voids and undulation area with Polymer Mortar made out of CEYMCO PROBOND SBR Latex, Water, Cement and Sand in the Ratio of 1:1:5:12.5.
  • Fill cracks up to 3 mm with NOLEAK PU and cracks over 3 mm with NOLEAK PU after opening the crack to a “V” cut.
  • In case of any poor plaster surface in existence (for old building), remove the same and corrected with new cement : sand in the ratio of 1 : 4 admixed with CEYMCO PROBOND SBR @ 200 ml / bag of cement.
  • Allow it to cure for at least 10 days.
# Primer Application

For fresh painting,

  • Prime the prepared surface with CEYMCO® ELASTO 599 @ 8-10 m2 / L (theoretical coverage)
  • Allow it to dry.
# Material Preparation
  • Stir CEYMCO® ELASTO 599 by a slow speed mixture fitted with a suitable mixing paddle.
  • Add stainer slowly to get the desired shade.
  • After stirring, wait for the product to settle in order to let entrapped air escape.
# Application of Materia
  • Apply first coat of CEYMCO® ELASTO 599over the prepared / primed surface @ 120 ml / m2.
  • Allow it to dry for 6 – 8 hrs.
  • Apply second coat of CEYMCO® ELASTO 599 without dilution over dried first coat @ 120 ml / m2 and allow it to dry.
  • Do not undertake any further work over the coated area within 72 hrs of final coat.

Health & Safety

  • Avoid contact with skin / eyes, and avoid swallowing.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation and avoid inhalation of vapour.
  • Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye protection.
  • In case of skin contact, rinse with plenty of clean water, then cleanse with soap and water. Do not use solvent to clean the contacted area.
  • In case of eye contact, wash with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice.
  • If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately. Do not induce vomiting.

Packing

Available in 5 Kg and 20 Kg container. Bulk packing is available on request.

Storage

Keep in cool and dry place, under the shade, away from heat.

Shelf Life

24 months in original unopened sealed condition.
